Monitoring & Evaluation

Why: Monitoring and evaluation when done and used correctly, strengthen the basis for managing for results, foster learning and knowledge generation in the organization as well as the broader development and evaluation community, and support the public accountability of UNDP. [1]

Untitled-1How: Monitoring and evaluation is the core competency of Lead Nepal’s staff as well as our partners. In every step of the organic process monitoring and evaluation is crucial so as to reach the target of acquiring organic certificate from an esteem institute and further branding the product. Recording formats for different activities and stakeholders are prepared that are systematically filled, followed by the next level of stakeholder religiously monitoring and evaluating these activities. Therefore, it is an on going process, ensuring the authenticity of the organic nature as well as acquiring organic certification, which is renewed annually.

The next level of monitoring and evaluation is done within the staff members and the stakeholders based on their field experience to assess that our projects are achieving set targets and if not where are the gap. These steps help us jointly to learn, improve, develop ownership and accountability and reflect in our next planning and designing of our projects. Hence it is a cross cutting issue in all our activities.
